Examples in the Spencerian, Copperplate and Ornamental Scripts
Below are examples of the Instructor's and Student's work
Kinds of Scripts
The instructor will teach four main scripts, including the Spencerian (business penmanship), copperplate, ornamental script, and italic. Once taught in American schools, the Spencerian is a script that is practical for day-to-day use. The copperplate is a very ornate hand that can be used for art work and wall hangings, but is also useful for cards and letters. Ornamental script adds an artistic flair to any script. At the end of the year, students will learn the italic script, which is both an artistic and very practical hand. The example script above was written at a normal, fast speed for everyday handwriting.
